Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur

Umaid Bhawan Palace

Be escorted to Chittar Hill in complete comfort and be shocked by the first sight of Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur at its highest level. Majestic domes and towering areas with a panoramic view of the city and sandy dunes that fuse to the distant horizon. The Umaid Bhawan — the living room palace — is a lasting patrimony of a rich past and a sign of modern iodine with its vast emptiness on the one side and the famous Blue City on the other.

The Umaid Bhawan Palace was constructed between 1928 and 1943 and is the sixth-largest private home in the world, and is constructed from the same palm marble used in the famous Taj Mahal building in Agra. It has been named after Maharaja Umaid Singh and remains one of India’s last remaining great palaces, the house of the former Jodhpur royal family.

A celebration of the exotic variety of authentic Rajasthani and foreign favorite cuisine in one of the hotel’s three fine restaurants. At sunset sip the beautiful, subterranean zodiac pool from a glass of your favorite drink and look forward to another perfect day of luxury. Choose from a broad variety of Jiva Spa’s signature therapies and rejuvenate fully.
