The Jakhoo Hill is the highest hill in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh which has an altitude around 2455 meters. A top view on the Shimla town as well as the religious importance of the hill makes it a popular attraction among the people.

It is in Jakhoo hill that dwells the oldest and world’s highest Hanuman statue on the highest altitude of 8100 feet. The statue itself has a height of 108 feet. According to popular belief, hanuman is believed to have been taken rest upon the jakhoo hill on his way to searching Sanjivani Booty. As Hanuman is a prominent deity in Hindu Mythology, thousands of people came here annually to offer prayers.

The Jakhoo ropeway is another major attraction here that adds another entertainment. A six-minute journey in this cable car in the queen hills helps people to reach the temple.
