Shri Radhakrishna Temple

Kanpur is an industrial town located in north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is very near to Lucknow which is the capital of Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the major cities of north India. Shri Radhakrishna Temple is one of the most marvellous temples in Kanpur. It is also known as JK temple as it was constructed by JK Trust which was formed by the Singhania family which are famous industrialists.

The temple was completed in the year 1960 and has just celebrated the 50th anniversary in 2010. It is a grand temple made of white marble. The beauty of the temple mesmerizes you and draws you towards it. The architecture of the temple is truly amazing and it is a mixture of modern and ancient architecture. There is a huge mandap of the temple in the centre which ensure theta enough light and air reach it and is well lit even without electricity in the morning.

The temple is located in Sarvodaya Nagar in Kanpur. It is not very far from the airport and is around 5 km from the railway station. The temple is built in a huge complex and there are three ponds around the temple in the complex. The temple is open on all days and high security is maintained at all times of the year. There is a huge rush of the crowd on the occasion of Janamashtmi every year.
