Shilpgram Festival is the real example of that in the Shilpgram complex in Udaipur. Shilpgram is a vibrant and special museum with a touch of Mughal and European history in typical Rajasthan art and crafts. The word “Shilpgram” is described as an “artisan village.”
Shilpgram is designed in the old architectural style, surrounded by many huts, to give rural markets a feeling. The small huts are constructed with mud and natural materials to offer an actual image of western Indian ethnic diversity. The hut gives industrial tenants a lot more workspace.
Hut or traditional house in the village has its unique design and features which reflect the history of the state. The huts have about 26, the Rajasthan five, the Maharashtra five, the Goa five, and the Gujarat seven. The house of the craftsmen is situated next door to the idea of “Unity in Diversity”.
The Shilpgram Complex provides an open-air amphitheater for approximately 8000 individuals. The amphitheater is used for daily activities. At the festival, the unique tribal and traditional dances are a pleasure to watch.
Shilpgram is available during the week every day. Shilpgram is scheduled to enter and exit between 11 am and 7 pm. The Bazaar Haat is open daily at noon. Indian adults and children’s ticket prices shall be Rs. 30 and Rs. 15, respectively, per user. The price of tickets for foreigners is Rs. 50 per person.
