Saheliyon Ki Bari is a woman’s wonder of nature, also known as the Maidens ‘Garden. Within Indian society, women have little to no importance, but when we take a look back at Mewar’s society the things are different. Saheliyon Ki Bari is one of the few instances where women have a specific place in the history of India.
Garden of Maidens is a magnificent natural wonder with the beauty of the Rajasthan district in Udaipur designed with the utmost care and excellence. The garden features a spectacular look on the beautifully sculpted pavilions of marble, pool kiosks, lotus pools, and rainfall fountains.
We are all aware that the Taj Mahal, which Mumtaz Mahal had made by Shah Jahan in honor of, is a symbol of love among the couple. Saheliyon Ki Bari is another symbol of love that remains untiring. The gardens have been built to please Rana Sangram Singh’s love lady, also known by the Mewar dynasty as the Rana Sanga. The garden produces a special sense of relaxation and calms the soul exceptionally. This exquisite sensation has nothing to say about it. The garden was also for the 48 servants who went with the Queen to Udaipur as a wedding gift.
The garden was constructed to offer a quick escape from politics to the Queen and royal maids. In the natural lap, the garden also offers isolation to the Queen and King. The garden was planned specifically for Queen and her maidens to create a recreational spot. They walked and enjoyed the beauty of the world for long, endless hours.
