A crystal clear spring that bore the name of the first Indian prime minister of India, Dr. Jawaharlal Nehru is a popular place visited by many people during their Manali days, in Himachal Pradesh.
It is a natural stream stays at a distance of 5 kilometers from the national highway to Leh, in Himachal Pradesh. The Nehru’s has been attributed to this spring because of his fondness towards its pure water. Whenever he stays at Manali he ensures to drink water from this spring.
The water comes from the Bhregu lake which stays at a height of 4100 feet from the land level. The name itself might attract the tourists to see this spring. After having the water from the spring one will be amused by its taste too.
There is no entrance fee and it is opened to visitors from 7 AM to 7 PM. Usually, it takes an hour to see around the place. The rocky surroundings with cold and pristine water create a great ambiance for photoshoots. The natural sunlight and the pines around it make it an ideal space for snaps, especially in winter. During the winter season, the Nehru Kund and its surroundings will be blanketed with snow which will be added to its dignity.
