Kibber is a scenic village which is situated in the cold desert surrounded by beautiful mountains, barren landscape and green grasslands. It is situated in Spiti Valley in the Himalayas at 4,270 metres height in Himachal Pradesh. It has a monastery and Kibber Wild Life Sanctuary. It is also called the highest village in the world, which is connected by road. The economy is largely dependent on agriculture and tourism.
The houses are very beautifully made with stone and wood in Tibetan style and the place is very serene and beautiful. The pollution-free environment and the high altitude give you a chance to see the sky which is not possible in polluted cities. The place is thronged by stargazers and photographers who love to capture the scenic beauty and take it along with them.
Kibber Wild Life Sanctuary is one of the major attractions of the area and it is spread over an area of more than 2000 kilometres. It has a wide variety of endangered medicinal plants and snow leopards which are rare to find.
