Green Park is one of the oldest cricket stadiums of India. It was established in the 1940s and is named after British Lady Madam Green who used to come here to practice horse riding. It has a capacity of around 32,000 spectators and most of the stadium is uncovered. It is located in the northeast part of the Kanpur and just adjacent to the river Ganga.
