The Cussler Museum

The Cussler Museum is named after its founder Clive Cussler and features a stunning collection of rare cars that have been restored to their original state. It’s probably because Clive Cussler is the best seller and just likes the antique cars if you know the name.

The collection of the museum contains dozens of cars including numerous brands like Studebaker or Auburn that have been deteriorating since the turn of the century, most of which date back to the mid-sixties. The majority of tourists spend one or two hours at the museum, and you’ll probably want to check-out on West 69th Avenue in Arvada, next to other attractions in the city.

Two Ponds National Wildlife Refuge

For nearly two decades now, the Two Pond National Wildlife Refuge is a protected wilderness of more than 70 acres and houses a large variety of plants and animals, many of which are rare in this region. The refuge comprises the forests, the shrubbery, and the wetlands which are open for guided tours.

The Molly Brown House Museum is a unique attraction that was formerly home, because she survived the sinking Titanic in 1912, to the famous, flamboyant woman often referred to as ‘The Unsinkable Molly Brown.’ Molly’s family made its money in the mining industry when she was a teenager and when it was purchased in the 1890s it cost $30,000, which is a fortune of the day’s standard.

Tens of thousands are visitors to the home and museum annually, most of them are delighted to hear about this fascinating woman’s life and times. There are guided tours available and entry is free.

Larimer Square

Larimer Square has several stores, restaurants, and other local companies and you can check the layout online before you make a special trip. The historic square lies on the 14th to 15th streets of Larimer and is conveniently located along the urban transport route which makes it easy and affordable to get there from other parts of town.

The history of the square goes back over 100 years to the time of the city of Golden Money. The historical and contemporary buildings, including bookstores, coffee shops, and the first state postal office, are happily mixed.

Empower Field at Mile High

Mile High’s Empower Field is home to the Denver Broncos National Football League and is 5,280 feet above sea level and is thus named after it. The stadium was completed in 2001 and was largely financed by local tax revenue.

Regular season catching a game at Empower Field isn’t as difficult as it used to be; crowds at games have declined in recent years. The stadium provides live concerts, guided tours led by experienced staff for others who come in the off-season.

Morrison Natural History Museum

In the last thousand years, the territory of Colorado has grown with dinosaurs of all forms and dimensions; geologists, paleontologists, and amateur rock hounds have regularly uncovered their skeletons. The Morrison Museum of Natural History is located half an hour west of central Denver in the city of Morrison. The Smithsonian is a renowned institution for its groundbreaking work and world-class exhibits.

The museum will open at 10 a.m. and provides visitors with three regular daily tours. Although reservations are not mandatory, it is wise to call and reserve your room, particularly when you visit during high times.
