The Red Fort: Red Fort is the main fortress in New Delhi. It was constructed with red sandstone. Shah Jahan ordered it to be his home and modeled on the Agra fort.
Jama Masjid: The red and white Jama Masjid is a unique piece of Mughal flamboyance and the biggest mosque in India. The courtyard is sufficiently large to accommodate 25,000 devotees.
New Delhi: Since 1931 New Delhi has been the capital of India with its broad tree-lined avenues and robust architecture.
Tughluqabad: Around 15 kilometers southeasterly of Connaught Place, on the Mehrauli-Badarpur route, there is a rocky cliff with 6.5 kilometers of rocky slopes in the third town of Delhi, Tughluqabad. The main area is the massive walled fortress in the southwestern part of the site, although the remains of several corridors and a tower remain only in a long deep tunnel.
Qutub Minar Complex: The flowing red sandstone tower of the Qutub Minar, one of Delhi’s most revered temples, surrounded by elaborate gravure and firmly carved verses of the Koran, tapers vertically from the ruins to just over 72 meters.
